By 2028, the MRO industry is likely to grow over US$ 2.4 billion from US$ 800 million in 2018 as the government aims to make India a 'Global MRO Hub'. This will create a huge requirement for the skilled aircraft maintenance engineering workforce in India in the coming years. To cater to this, GMR School for Aviation in technical collaboration with Airbus has come up with global training solutions for aviation professionals delivered to the best of international aviation industry standards.
The goal is to create a skilled and qualified workforce that are trained and motivated to meet the future challenges of the aviation industry in the region.
Spread across 75,000 square feet on a 4-acre campus, the school will set a benchmark in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) training in India by offering Aircraft Specific Type Training Courses, Domestic and International Degree Programs, and Ancillary Courses like Aircraft structures, Aircraft Composite Courses, CAMO/ Maintenance Planning courses, Stores Management Courses etc.
To set a benchmark in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering trainings in India through International collaborations and partnerships and become a regional center of excellence.
Becoming a one stop shop for all the MRO & Airline trainings.
Making a difference to society has been inherently present in the way the GMR Group functions. Starting from this vision to every initiative that the group takes, giving it back to the community has become part of the group’s way of doing business. This has been successfully brought from dream to reality by the 25 years old Varalakshmi Foundation, the CSR arm of the GMR Group.
